George Barclay, from Millbrex, Fyvie, had already been singing,
reciting and competing for years when he was recorded for
NEFA in his teens. That year he also took up the trump and
the moothie, picking up techniques and tunes from Gordon Easton
and George Murray.
The North East classic, 'The Flech,' is one of his star turns
(NEFA 1994.027.08).
