Mima Borwick, Longside, was a unique character. A small, friendly woman, she would produce a small black bag full of songs, stories, jokes, a parody or a traditional song, and perform it with verve and humour. Often heard at the Longside Folk Club, when finished washing the local football clubs uniforms, she had material old and new, funny and serious.
