Myra Thow, New Deer, entertained throughout the North East with concert parties, Strathspey and Reel societies and in the 1960s and 70s on Grampian television's bothy nichts. One could easily be fooled by her slightly formal manner, quickly belied by a sharp sense of humour and delight in the spirit of North East music and song.
