Hector MacAndrew needed a push forward. John Junor had a sort of run-in with the BBC head man in which he put forward HM's name as fine fiddler who should be broadcasting. J ???? pestered HM to record as well.

HM played every night, without fail. He would play in a panelled garage they had. His slow airs pierced the heart of the music.
