Macduff Primary School Produce Christmas CD.

With guidance and advice from ARC studio, Macduff Primary School have produced a CD to celebrate the career of their headmistress. Mrs Ewan, who has been in Macduff throughout her career, chose the songs from her Christmas favourites which were sung by the entire school. Profits from the sales of the CD will be donated to a charity in India which aims to improve school services in deprived areas.

Writers Workshops at Fyvie Castle.

Writers' workshops for up and coming young authors, were held at Fyvie Castle and Portlethan Academy this month. Hosted by Aberdeenshire Library Service, ARC studio's mobile recording unit were on hand to record some of the talks by selected authors.

Billy Sangster supports The Blue Toon!

Billy Sangster, Peterhead born rockabilly bass player, was in the studio this month recording a song he has written for the Peterhead Football Club. Billy's song won a club sponsored competition and will be played and sung on the terraces at the Balmoor Ground next season. Well done Billy, and good luck next season!

Kate James recording new songs ARC.

Singer-songwriter Kate James was in the studio this week, recording three of her self penned songs. Our congratulations to her for the success of her song Burgundy for reaching number 5 in the Broadjam Contemporary Folk Chart.

Traditional and Classical music at ARC.

The Ugie Folk Band were in the studio this month recording a selection of traditional songs and tunes. Classical singer Maureen Bell also spent time at the studio with accompanist Tim Tricker recording some of her favourite light classics.

Fisher Folk at ARC.

Aberdeen folk band The Fisher Folk were in the studio this month recording traditional songs and tunes for a forthcoming CD.

Seventh Circle recording at ARC.

Local rock band Seventh Circle were in the studio this month recording a four track promo CD. Find out more about them at My Space.

New Look nefa site goes on line! Friday 12th.

After several weeks of refurbishment and access improvements the new-look nefa site went on line today. Many thanks to open|box|design, Aberdeen, for all the hard work and creative input.
